Today, SIIB stands as one of the premier business schools in the country offering three full-time residential MBA programs namely MBA-IB, MBA-Agri and MBA-E&E. The flagship program MBA-IB was started in the year 1992 which was followed by MBA-Agri in the year 2004. The third program MBA E&E got added in the year 2009. For us at SIIB, the mission is to turn out well-balanced, socially conscious professionals for the corporate world.

At SIIB, the students get an excellent opportunity to interact with the best in the industry in various management events organized by the Institute, particularly at our flagship event the ‘SIIB Leadership Series’. At the same time, the students get to interact with industry experts through guest lectures, workshops, industry visits, live projects and mandatory two months summer internship. This constant interaction with industry keeps the students updated about the latest industry trends.

Apart from rigorous two-year curriculum, SIIB also incorporates various activities that enhance all-round development of students through various cultural events, community development initiatives, moral re-armament camp, students’ fest, etc. These activities give the students an opportunity to develop their soft skills.

Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune initiated its placements this year and has had a successful season so far for its flagship course, MBA-IB. Agribusiness has witnessed promising placements for the Batch 2018-20. A number of companies visited the campus of which many were new recruiters. Companies such as Tolaram Group, ITC- ABD, Nestle, Marico, Bisleri, Cargill, Seedworks International, HDFC Life, UPL, L&T Finance, NCDEX, DCM Shriram, Godrej Tyson Foods, Coromandel International, IDFC First Bank, Samunnati Agro, FMC, Samasta Microfinance, Chaitanya Microfinance, Mahyco, Mahindra & Mahindra, Sahyadri Farms, HDFC Bank, East West Seeds etc. offered roles in different domains such as Consulting, Agri Input, Farm Input, Commodity trading, Rural Banking and Insurance, and Food & Beverages etc. The campus saw a number of start-ups coming to the campus for recruitment such as; Lean Agri, FarmKart, DeHaat, Jai Kisan which offered roles in the domain of Agri ICT, Agri Credit Management and Agri Supply Chain Management. The trust of the regular recruiters was re-instilled and a fresh bunch of new recruiters turned their faith towards us this year.

MBA Energy & Environment is a course where students are trained to be forward thinking responsible leaders. SIIB - a pioneer in this niche course - is recognised among industry leaders such as KPMG, Geocycle (Lafarge Holcim), HCL and many others.

The placement season this year witnessed many prominent recruiters from different industries like KPMG, Geocycle, Federal Bank, HCL, DHL, Climate Connect, Oorjan Solar, IDAM Infra, Wiseguy Research to name a few. PPO from noteworthy organizations were offered to students who interned in various organizations like GEP.

Roles were offered depending on the candidate’s profile which varied from Sustainability Management & Consulting, Management Trainee for waste management, sales and management in banking domain, supply chain management, business development, market research, Research associate etc.

Organisations like Tata Motors, Ultratech cement, GEP, Asian Paints, Volkswagen, Mahindra Lifespaces, SunMobility, KPMG, Aditya Birla, Thinkstep offered summer internships to students in domains like Sustainability, E-mobility, Waste Management, EHS, etc.
